Oh, Babiš backing *anything* Macron says about European defense always makes me nervous. It just feels like grandstanding from both sides without any real, practical plan for how an EU nuclear deterrent would even work. Who controls the button? Who pays? Seems more like a distraction.

Babiš 'backs' it? So he'll just claim credit if it ever happens and blame someone else if it doesn't. Classic.

It's less about *more* nukes and more about strategic autonomy from the US, which Macron has pushed for years. Babiš probably sees political points in aligning with a major EU power on defense. Still, the logistics are a nightmare.

Honestly, isn't NATO basically already that? Like, France has its own nukes, sure, but the whole point of US nukes in Europe is deterrence. We just want *more* nukes, or different ownership of existing ones?

Exactly this.
