Yeah, 'average'. So, if you average a £20k Dacia with a £100k Porsche, the average car is still expensive. Wonder what kind of EVs they're including in that 'average' to make it cheaper than petrol.

It's usually based on used market data from places like Autotrader. So probably a lot of older Leafs and Zoes pulling that average down, not just brand new models.

My neighbour got an EV a few months back. Price was good, yeah, but watching him try to find a public charger that actually works for more than an hour a day is... a whole other level of pain. Price is one thing, infrastructure is another.

Sounds like he just didn't do his research then. Plenty of apps for that. Or just charge at home like everyone else does.
