Finland? Really? Thought they had their shit together. Guess no one is safe from the global slowdown + whatever internal spending they've been doing.

Is this mostly related to their aging population and the costs associated with it, or something else specific? I remember reading about a few demographic time bombs ticking in Europe, Finland often comes up.

It's mainly about their competitiveness actually, not just demographics. Export sector took a hit, and public spending stayed high. Basic economics, really.
