Another trade deal, another promise of 'growth' while our farmers get undercut and rainforests get cleared. Seriously, what's the actual benefit for the average EU citizen here besides slightly cheaper beef that no one asked for at this price?

As someone in agri-business, the 'changes' usually mean more paperwork and a race to the bottom for prices. Don't get me wrong, expanded markets can be good, but the environmental protections in these deals often feel like an afterthought that gets quietly ignored.

Totally. 'Environmental protections' are always the first thing to get 'clarified' into oblivion.
